My Year as an Intern at 5AM Solutions and Why I Came Back for More

Posted on Sun, Nov 17, 2013 @ 11:12 AM

I started at 5AM Solutions as a summer intern while studying at the University of Maryland. I was looking for a full-time internship that fit my interests and accommodated my summer class schedule, but at the time I was unaware of how exceptional my experience at 5AM would be. Aside from superb mentoring and interesting projects, I got my first introduction into 5AM’s award-winning flexibility; I could set my own schedule and work from home when I wanted.

After summer ended, I was invited to continue interning at 5AM but was worried about managing a full course load on top of work. However, 5AM again recognized my priorities as a student and offered to let me work part-time with the ability to adjust my hours around exams, projects, and breaks.

After graduating, I considered myself lucky to have developed a history with 5AM and to have been offered a place within their ranks. I was given the mentoring and training to take my skills anywhere, but why would I want to work anyplace else besides 5AM.
